The first round of the Hilo Invitational Golf Tournament was canceled due to inclement weather conditions.

The second round of the pro-am teed of at 12:30 p.m. as a four-player team scramble instead of the traditional 1-gross/1-net format.

Weather permitting, the Hilo Invitational will start at 7 a.m. today at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

Last year, the tourney was shortened to 18 holes for the first time because of rain. Former UH-Hilo golfer Nick Mason, Jarett Hamamoto and Ryan Michimoto tied for first at 2-under-par 69. Mason won the second playoff hole.
